We have a radiator leak—

The past couple of weeks we have seen signs of a radiator leak. First, we left the truck running while dropping off something at our son's home. When we came out there was a drip under the radiator near the curb, though no sign of a leak on the radiator faces. During the following week we noticed the reservoir drop to the lower window. Since then we haven't seen a leak on the radiator faces, though we have added about three gallons of water to keep the reservoir up. I have been daily driving hoping to see if its the front or main radiator. Was beginning to think the leak was in between the two.

Today I found the main radiator leaking near the bottom on the passenger side.

Now the plan is to pull the radiator and have it gone through. I think that means a trip down to San Antonio or up to Dallas for a decent radiator shop. If we are doing that I think we'll pull the drive lines and have them balanced; replace at least the transmission cooler hoses (which look questionable, though don't leak); replace the front shocks and upper cab bushings (some one replaced the lowers though not the uppers?); and what else?

Seco has a radiator for a decent price, but if we can recondition this one why not?

Any other thoughts?

Mine also had a leak develop a while ago. It wasn't a big deal to remove it, get it repaired, and re-install it. The TM procedure was very straightforward, and there were no tricks to it. The TM wasn't really necessary. If you're reasonably mechanically fluent, the whole process is pretty obvious.

Everyone should balance their drivelines if they don't know it's been done. I did when I bought mine and am tempted to do it again just for a little peace of mind.
