I picked up the KLR-turned-into-an-M1030 today from having the front wheel changed out with an 18" wheel tire combo. The shop scuffed the black paint but I can touch it up when I paint the back wheel. I took it for a drive on the cattle trails on our land and it is now rock solid off-road. It is now complete. I added:

1. Molle tank bag
2. Rekluse automatic clutch - no manual clutch to fumble with when I am passing out candy to kids in parades.
3. Military brush guards and bark busters
4. IMS transparent OD tank w/ locking cap
5. Oversized front brake rotor
6. RAM GPS mount
7. 18" front wheel w/ woody's super spokes

tankvest.com is where I bought it. If you want one give me a call. I bought two but I sold my 2nd KLR last week. I never mounted it on that bike because I did not install the IMS tank. The crash bars were made possible because of you... Thank you. The bark busters work fine with the factory KLR plastic. No clearance issues. I also have some McMaster Carr hardware for the bark busters and brush guards. I had to buy packs to get the few pieces I needed. They are all grade 10.8 (metric) if I remember correctly.
