Can anyone identify the OD colored duct covering the defroster ducts on the top of my personnel heater diverter box and tell me how to remove it? It appears to be a brittle vinyl or rubber coated fabric duct of some sort.
I need to remove the defroster ducts in order to do some under dash work but I can't get to the clamps with this part in the way. I've checked both the -209 and -361 TMs and neither show the part; all they show is the defroster ducts going directly to the diverter box.
What is this thing and how can I remove it without ruining it? Or is it something the military thought was necessary at some time but is no longer needed/used?
