Just curious what you pros have to say. I am installing a 20,000# winch on my M923 that came off of a M932A2 I bought for parts. The question is, does that mean I now have a M925 or is it just a M923 with a winch? I personally don't care to change the data plate like some guys seem to do. Just curiosity working overtime here.

I would certainly call it a 925 but I wouldn't bother with re-titling it or anything. Is the PTO the same from the A2 to the A0?

They have the same trans, so pto should also be the same. The only thing I have found different so far is the control box, now I haven't got the pto and hydraulics in yet so we are going to find out for sure. I did have to drill 4 holes in the frame that weren't there on a non-winch truck.

Where did you have to drill holes? I just put a winch on 923A1 and didn't have to drill any.
