Ditto on what Tinstar said - the search feature, once you learn how to master the technique, will yield plenty of information on just about any subject relative to these trucks. But to help-out a new member, I will say that the best behind-the-bumper winch mount, in my opinion, is available from Engineered Vintage Engineered Vintage | Custom Winch Mounts & Grilles Classic Trucks . But be forewarned, it is a bear to install. On our CUCV trucks, the eight core support rivets must be drilled out and replaced with Grade 8 bolts & nuts in order to mount the winch plate to both frame rails. This requires top-quality drill bits and drilling equipment and plenty of patience. With the core support remaining in place, this procedure must be done sitting or laying on the ground, so eye and face protection must be used. I have just now completed my Engineered Vintage installation but I had the luxury of grinding and drilling while sitting between the frame rails, as I had not yet installed my core support during my drivetrain swap. The Engineered Vintage mount kit by itself is priced at $469.00, and that does not include the Grade 8 bolts to fasten the frame plates to the frame, nor the cost of a winch itself.

Hope this helps. Welcome to the forum.

Go to the CUCV Hot Rod Forum…use the search function and select “this forum” then use the following search term *behind bumper winch mount* be sure to use the asterisks! This will return you 3 pages of various threads about behind the bumper winch mounts. You can also do this in the regular CUCV forum as well.

I agree with @Sharecropper on the GOAT bumper if I was going to use a behind the bumper mount.

If you don’t have to have behind the bumper you can still find old Warn or Ramsey bumper mounts for half that price or less that are almost plug and play. No holes were drilled in this installation. To be completely transparent several bolts had to be cut off with a grinder tho due to rust.

I‘d even be up for selling my Warn bumper mount as I purchased a ORD full bumper. Had I decided to keep this bumper I was going to cut and weld the factory side brush guard pieces to each side of the Warn winch bumper to give it more of an original look.
