Wiring 7 LED lights to hmmwv

Does anyone have a diagram for wiring 7 LED lights to a single switch on the hmmwv? I have 7 on a light bar and no knowledge on the best way to wire them. I also have 2 in the rear for backup lights and 2 on the front bumper for driving lights.

The 7 on top are 6.5"
  • 36W High Output CREE LEDs at 6,000K and 2,800 LM; 30° Spot Beam
  • Operating Voltage from 10 - 30V DC; Power Consumption: 12V @ 2.0A; 24V @ 1.0A;

Do I need a relay? Does it need to be 24v? Can I use a 12 v switch rated at greater than 7 Amps?

Do I connect all the red wires from the lights to a single 14Awg red wire and then connect that to an in line 30amp fuse and then to the front positive terminal on the most forward battery, while connecting all the black ground wires to a single black wire and then to the negative on the rear battery? If anyone is skilled at responding with a diagram and proper instructions for the hmmwv I would greatly appreciate it. Or paste a link where this has been done. I searched but couldn't find what I needed, I know some of you are electrical geniuses. image.jpg

SO, 3 switches? One for the 7, one for the rear 2 and one for the front 2?

Find switches rated at 8 amps. Run a positive lead from +24v to the switches in the dash. Make sure there is a fuse within 6 inches of the battery. Wire switches to the appropriate clusters of lights. If it were me, I'd just ground the lights at their mounts.

I can't advise of where to get the 24v from as I have no access to a hmmwv, but a voltmeter will tell you.

As they're LEDs you will want to wire them in series and parallel while using a resistor.

I would run a relay. Save your switch the load. will also allow you to run a cheaper or lower amp switch. "think push buttons" this is good as you will also not be maxing out the amps of the switch.

I initially assumed non led. led's are different wiring then normal stuff.
