I think you're correct about them being for the rear winch.

That is the 900 series version of the recovery body... Makes it more handy than kneeling on the deck to operate the recovery winch...45000#.... Of course when you are in the woods and scrape a tree with the right hand side of the truck, what is the first thing after the mirror that you rip off?? Of course, I always liked the 50 gallon oil tank sitting out in the open for one 7.62 round to penetrate and make the truck deadlined..

i see the switch for the air tensioner but why two levers does one pay out and the other rewind.. does this winch have free wheel ? looks like a garwood like the 809 series.
