Sometimes it's fun to look back at the original and get an understanding for why it takes so long to get this thing on the road.
Here is a before and after picture of the LF light treatment. It's all functional at this time. The bumper does cast a shadow right in front, but it doesn't appear to be a real problem and BTW, this is the arrangement that was intended in the original design except for the BO driving light which had a new location higher up and to the outside (four plugged holes) when a winch was opted for. I'll check that (the effect of the bumper) when I do the headlight alignment.

I like it back in the truck, Bjorn.

It looks like the light on the bumper was a very quick afterthought following vehicle development, as I'm sure the shadow was a "problem" perceived by the US.

It seems to me that the lights on the bumper would be MUCH more prone to getting damaged/destroyed, especially when winching.

Regardless, a simply amazing vehicle you have there.

I don't care for lights in or on a bumper, just doesn't make sense.
The cargo version of the truck has the space between the cab and bumper filled with foam for floatation....

You could notch the bumper then angle it back like the cranetruck. I know, it wouldn't be original, but you'd have a smaller issue with a shadow and less of a chance of catching the bumper on something while backing or turning.

Will, the non-illuminated area in front, caused by the bumper being in the way, would only be a problem off-road, I think. A second set of lights below the originals could take care of it. No biggie, if I were to do anything to the bumper, I'd put lightening holes in it, like the M135, but like I said, no plans for any of that at this time.
