XM818 door number/mfg date?

We are trying to fill out a SF97 request on a XM818 a friend just got from Ft. Sam Houston and we need the year of manufacture. Is it safe to assume that if the "door" number ends in 70 then the truck was made in 1970? Should I wait till the Gridley thread is unlocked and ask Carnac? Should I unlimber the crystal ball?
