16.00 R20's (52"tall) on a deuce! pic's too

well her she is my 19?? deuce n a half with 16.00 20's just thought some one might be interested in a peak. the pics are in the middle of a 5.9 cummins swap so the front is a little outa shape but it kinda gets the point across id be happy to answer any questions if you are interested or would like a similar set up. it does help out the gearing ALOT, makes 55 2100

Is that engine from a Dodge or what? Plus, what about the tranny, original or swapped too? Those tires are beheamoths! Looks like quite a bit of $$$$$! Could you run down in a general kind of way a start to finish list and name important parts modified and/or swapped to let her run properly? I'm looking to get some bone trucks in the future to help the farmers in this general area and this looks like a good modification they can use and customize to their needs. Thanks! Plus a ballpark figure on a budget would be nice too.

ill start with the tires and lift/spread.
I made a 3 inch lift for the front and rear by making the frame 3 inches taller (added on the the bottom) then i had to spread the rear axles, that involved pressing the rubber joints from the stock boggie arms and into my new ones. i made from DOM tubing. the rims are the trickey part. i used 12 rims total. 6 welded center and 6 riveted. cut 3 inches from the riveted ones and add it to the welded center wheels...pooff 10.75 inch wide rims.
Cost: $1500 tires and tubes
$500+/- materials (just stuff i had layin around so it was no cost to me)
the motor is from a airport shuttle bus i paid $2000 for that with EVERYTHING the front half of the frame, after cooler, radiator, driveshaft, muffler, i even got the cruse controle unit and power steering. then i had to buy a flywheel and clutch for $600...ouch that one hurt. used the stock tranny to save cost and the rest of the stuff is all there.
now i dont think i could do it for that price again. i didnt go looking for the parts i just hung out till i stubled apon them cheap and said "hey i could use that for somthin"
now i just gota find another cab cheap so i can make a crew cab....

Holy sheepcrap! That thing's wild looking. Press on at will, I wanna see this one complete! Question, since you made your own longer arms to spread the rear axles, did you have to use a longer main leaf?

I'd love to see some details of the longer tubes you made, the front lift and what mods exactly were necessary to fit the tires, and of the custom wheels. I'd love to know what you used for your bottom leafs as well as the arms! I have made quite a few suspension arms, but nothing for a 14k vehicle. I'd probably make then out of quarter wall HREW (not DOM since I'm cheap)... what OD and wall did you make em out of?

sorry for the late reply, ive been workin 12's so i havent had much time to read the forum or even work on the truck, the rear leafs were custom made to my specs by a spring manufacture here in minesota. most of the metal work still needs sandblasting and paint. my plan is to tare the whole thing down for a blast and paint after i get the crew cab made.

nah just thought it would be neat to have a crew cab deuce<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_shrug.gif" alt="Shrug"> seemed like a fairly simple mod. off road events usualy turn out to be more fun with more more people.
