Went to APG to get the truck today after putting some oil in her and going over it.We head out, truck would only go about 15 mph.Checked the transfer case it was in high.It seems stuck in 1 gear.Reverse is fine.It isnt shifting. We limped it off base and called a wrecker. The truck is a strange critter. It has a lot of parts I have never seen before,I have had over 60 deuces and 5 tons.Nothing like this.Hopefully nothing major with the trans.I will get her fixed up.Heres some pics.I talked to another Steel Soldier in Pittsburgh,he has the sister truck.xm963 006.jpgxm963 007.jpgxm963 008.jpgxm963 009.jpgxm963 010.jpgxm963 011.jpgxm963 013.jpg

That's what happens when you leave the deuces and the 900's alone with nothing to do... That is a interesting collage of parts that made that truck.

Most of the sheet metal is 900 series,Rears and suspension is very different than any other truck.

Automatic!
Power steering?
Flat belts - not V belts? or are the belts in the grooves with marks from something riding on their backs?
No belts on pump.
Is that a rusty AC compressor I see?
Nice looking truck.
You gonna have lot of fun figuring out what all them do-dads do. Kinda jealous!
Fortunately, Member in Pittsburg is not that far - you guys can compare notes and ideas.

New stuff to me too, and YOU HAVE OWNED OVER 60 DEUCES? Man - gotta visit you someday.

I hope I don't upset you by saying this, but that truck's suspension looks like one **** of an abortion. Not sure if its the pics or not, does the front axle have more than 2" of movement?

Very interesting, I guess.

This is funny me and Wreckerman were just talking about building something similar. I see a Tulsa winch, how about the frame is it M35a2 or five ton? Also see a control box bet it is same as 939. Great truck! More pictures please.

Interesting, since I always had the idea to fit the wider M939 series cab and nose on a Deuce, especially after so many are being parted out and relatively cheap, now.....

Tires/wheels: aren't those 14.5R20 tires, at least the one on the middle axle, 2nd pic? ... MPT's mounted on std industrial (non MPT) 20x10 rims... crazy!!
