I'm adding a winch to my M813. I have everything but the PTO shift lever and linkage. Just mounted the PTO and l don't see where a commercial PTO cable assembly is going to work very well.

Are the 5 ton and 2-1/2 ton PTO shift levers and linkages the same? I assume deuce parts will be much easier to find.

Has anyone been able to use a cable sucessfully? I'm guessing there is too much travel in the shift rail and it will be hard to feel the detents with a cable vs. a lever.

The dueces linkage is smaller and much simpler. the 5 ton goes on the other side of the transmission and is on the same pivot rod as the transfercase
