I was running my Lic HD video camera during the entire parade and to my dislike as we crossed the bridge into Columbus is when the battery gave up the ghost. It was shooting 1080 HD at 60 frames a second - battery was suppose to last longer and I had it fully charged.

I am burning copies now onto DVD's and will send down the Godfather one for his approval to make any more first. If you want one just pm me an address. My first time shooting so it is not a professional one - its a normal mafia hit man taking video - it was mounted to the windshield inner framework and it is not jiggly but stops as we are just crossing over the bridge to the second most astonishing section of the parade.

From The Ledger Enquirer
Many thanks for all who attended this event & posted photos & real-time commentary during the festivities. I long for the day that we're able to take our gooseneck trailer to Columbus, loaded with multiple MEPs....Thanks to all veterans & their families for their hard work & sacrifices--both overseas & at home! May God watch over all of you on your missions and while training!

Actually I made it a 2346 but I'm just splitting hairs. And Angie found my dress blues while I was gone... Oh well, next year!

I am humbled by the show of support for us and for our veterans.

Thank you PB for allowing me to be a part of something so great and meaningful. And the food! so good! thanks to all those that helped prepare and serve it.l

Here are a few more:

The Veteran in the first pic is an original Merrils Maurader and he has made every parade since we started.

Pic three and four are of "Atomic" (SS name) driving the M211 with members of the Blinded Veterans Association.

Why is that?
Dawn loves the open cab Dodge. I keep showing her pictures of DUKWs and Jeeps and she keeps showing me pic of open cab Dodges.

I'm afraid I won't have an open cab Dodge much longer.

Somebody snapped this pic yesterday and said they overheard MDMORGAN and wife discussing how they could fit the WC-22 and the M-37 on their trailer?? I don't know what that's all about but I plan to live several more years!!

It was my first parade driving. Very much enjoyed it, even the part where I had to push the blue air force jeep up hill over the bridge. Thanks Mr. Larry for the great lunch. Enjoyed everything thanks for the experience .

I found these pics on The Columbus Ledger Enquirer's website this morning. You can search their site and see 100 pics of the parade.
Thanks for posting--since I couldn't make the parade, I'll be taking a look at the website pics instead! Appreciate everyone's hard work & letting folks know about the festivities.
