Can't get the top axel cover to stop leaking?

I have been at this plate a few times now, once with straight gasket sealer like I found it and like the other axles. Once where I made up a nice thick cork gasket and sealer on both sides. For the life of me I can't find anything wrong, the cover sits flat, no damage to the sealing surfaces... yet I haven't so much as slowed it down. Each time it was like I had made no change. Doing some reading here I will go and pull the vent and check that it is not plugged but it spins freely and springs back so I bet it is fine. I admit I have not waded through the TM, mostly I figured how complicated can this be? It seems to be leaking from the center of the bracket that supports all the air lines or there about. It isn't that big of deal and stops leaking before (but close to) what I would consider the minimum for rear end fluid level but until then it coats the back of the truck and the stairs in oil. Have I missed something or do I just need to have at it one more time. I could make gaskets from thick and thin gasket paper, thick and thin cork and thick heavy rubber or just RTV from the tube.

Clean it real good and use the ultra grey rtv to seal it, then let sit for 1 hr..... The grey works wonders!

Haven't used it on this truck yet, but in the past I've used Permatex the right stuff gasket maker on differentials. Never had any leaks.

grey rtv made by permatex is specifically made for contact with gear oil in differentials, axles, etc. It does the job

And just because that cap on that crappie vent moves don't mean anything .
Drive it come home take a wrench and remove it . I did it and there was a great deal of pressure.
So I totally removed mine and run tubing.
I also had a pinion seal leaking put new seal in and it still leaked yet not as bad but totally quit when I got rid of those worthless cap vents.

It was the vents, cleaned them and the oasis dried up instantly. Oh and I retorqued.

I want to run tubing from the vents up the back side of the intake stack. What kind of tubing did you run?

1/4 inch clear tubing with barbed fittings in axels everything was at ace hardware

Where did you run them to? I was looking at Home Depot last night, they only have 25 foot sections of tubing.

rear axel to middle tee then up to stack area run tubing from front to the rear tubing and tee it to the rears then run tube up to the top of stack then put a charging port in the end of tube removed shader valve .
then if i decide i am going to get into water put shader valve back in and pressurise it to about 6 psi to keep water out of axels

So made your own fording kit for the axles, awesome. I'll likely do something similar.
