The loader lost its brakes and blew a hydraulic cylinder, and also it was to tall to enter my garage, but the motor is inside and I'll dolley it to its location once I remove the springs...
Wow, great set-up you have there! I would love to have a shop like that. I love my little Kubota B2320, but it sure wouldn't move something like that around!

May I tell you all that judging by today's postings, I am going to make my spare engine into a running stationary engine, all painted up, like the collectors do on YOUTUBE. I will post progress reports on this thread. WHATADEUCE

Raining off and on all day today - cabin fever! Finally stopped and sun came out around 5:30. My daughter and I ran out and got the horn fixed. The wire was broken at the connector under horn button. Fished it out, crimped a new connector on and she was back in service. Then we changed the oil and filters. Since it was my first deuce oil change, it didn't exactly go as planned, but the spill is cleaned up now and I have no leaks - I learned from my mistake!

Now all I have to do is tear into my spare rear axle and go through the brakes and seals and install it on the truck. Also need to machine the front axle perches. Got to do these things before the Georgia rally.

Today I began moving JEEPSINKER'S LDS engine across the garage floor to it's permanent storage place. How much does the engine, tranny and winch assembly you see weigh? I used my 5 ton and 3 ton floor jacks as dollies; getting the front of the assembly balanced was a task solved by using that old "S" wrench as a plate for the jack. Worked great. I did not want it all to fall sideways , especially on me! And while I was able to use a long crow bar and "inch" my way forward prying the 3 tonner jacked up assembly at the rear, I could not get it all to budge from the 5 ton front jack, so I attached my chain fall and got it as far from the door as you can see..see next page for remaining images....to be continued

Finally got some tires and got her rolling again. Replaced the tire that popped and the terrible looking spare. Got some awesome NDCCs off "The Bay" from IL. With freight they cost me $89 each. Still have the "teets" on them. Now all the rest of my tires look bad beside these. Wish I could have afforded 11, but I plan on replacing them all with G177s when the finances allow anyway. My truck came with all black wheels, and I figured I would keep them black, but now that I see these green wheels, I kinda like the green.

Just thought I'd add, in case anyone else has a hard time accessing these like I did, I dealt with:

Looks like they are doing some military salvage.

New Tires Almost There

e.jpgWell, Only one more set to go. Should take about half the time now that I have all the tools and I know what I am doing. It is crazy how big these tires are! Break lines from Peashooter are next, then the new fuel tank and spin on primary fuel filter.
