Anyone know of an affordable source for bullet proof glass. I understand that nothing is really bullet proof. Just looking for some slits of armor glass. Maybe 6" x 12" or more wide.

Trying to go cheap, but still be at least class 3 or better.

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to be looking into this as well in the future. I know that there's be a few people I know talking about making a run of glass. (At least for M114 cupola glass) Perhaps they could also cut yours?

I've also looked into this. Bulldog Direct Protective Systems Inc in Cincinnati, Oh. Various price ranges based on level of protection and weigh of material.

You might try calling these folks.

If nothing else maybe they can hook you up with their supplier (assuming they don't make it themselves).

Isn't bullet"resistant" glass just polycarbonate layered together in a sandwich with glass with differing thickness.

A long time ago I worked with acrylics. I also worked in professional tech theater. Have you considered alternatives to real bullet resistant glass? Clear acrylic panels might be available in the same thickness as the bullet resistant glass you seek. The acrylic sheets are obviously not bullet resistant, but they might be substantially cheaper than the real thing. If you need a specific color, you could sandwich a piece of theater lighting gel between two panels.
