one more thing, I know i missed, but were is the paper work to register. ??/
The rally attorney is on vacation, when he gets back in a couple weeks, I am going to schedule a sit down with him and see if we can post the forms online and let people do them ahead of time. I'll post in this thread when I get an answer.

If we can't do this, then you'll fill out the paperwork when you get there.

In terms of pre-registration, if you wish to rent a cabin, rv or rv spot from D-town, you need to contact them and pre-register. Otherwise, just show up.

We have had full operation of former military railroad equipment at the NC rally, come on Clinto it's time!
Wasn't there pre-existing track on the NC property?

We need Ferro to show up with about 500' of rail and the associated hardware, we need someone to loan us their wrecker or knuckleboom and we need some strong back/weak mind type folks to lay enough track to get folks from registration to the MKT and maybe over to the swap meet boss' area.

That makes it a little more challenging, but it will make the railroad forum a far more satisfying experience.

So Durhamtown called and left a message, seems they needed to move me from B11 over to B4, something about wanting to keep all the riff raff consolidated!!
See yall there!

Hmmmm.....

Does that mean you've been profiled as part of the riff-raff and NEED TO BE CLUSTERED, or are they reducing their liabilities and isolating you from potentials that are unspeakable and should NEVER be discussed in a family-friendly forum environment?!?!?!?

Unspeakably profiled yes!
But what happens at the GA Rally stays at the GA Rally!
Now I'll have to sneak across the tracks to visit old friends!
Not that PB is old.

Hi folks. There are 69 days remaining before this excellent event. Make sure you have a funds plan for this event. $10 a day gets for the next 69 days gets you a nice little stash. Even a dollar a day would cover a weekend meal ticket. If that is too much, volunteering to serve others at the MKT can keep a full belly all weekend.

PM your brooms, load your trailers and empty your shelves of excess parts. Save space for a few pieces of firewood. We would lke to be able to host a fire, welcoming beacon across from the registration tent this year. Please, no metal or nail embedded wood.

Savea few bucks for tee shirts too. This pays the bills associated with the rally so a good cause.

Make sure you have a reservation if you need a spot with power or a cabin/ trailer.

Oh yeah! I am just about ready for the rally I gotta drop a transmission in the Green machine and it will be ready to show up and show out. I booked my cabin a couple weeks ago. I can't wait to see all my friends again even though I've been kinda quiet on the forums lately.

Not to hijack the camaraderie and friendly banter, but from a lurking wannabe Deuce owner, how difficult would it be to sweet talk somebody into teaching me how to drive a Deuce at the rally? I have always wanted one, and I'm approaching the financial freedom to finally be able to own one, but I've never driven a Deuce before and frankly, I'm a little nervous. I drove one of the really big U haul trucks before and frankly the size scared the **** out of me, but I thought learning in a controlled environment would be the perfect start before trying to procure a truck and then drive the beast home with zero experience. Any takers. . . er. . . teachers out there?

For the record, I'm 38 years old, not a 17 year old wild child. LOL I won't hurt your babies, I promise. :)

I don't think you'll have an issue finding someone you can talk into this. If so, come find me at the registration tent.

:)
