Very nice truck. Welcome aboard.
Thank you everyone, very kind. We are able to struggle through most of the upkeep ourselves, but it's nice to know if we come to a road block on something, there are some other owners we can bounce ideas off of.

I have a 1952 as well. Any ideas where I can find a fuel tank and pump? Even if the tank has a hole in it, I could use for pattern to make new one. When I bought this one 30 years ago the tank was taken off. I have the urge to get it so I don't have to use a 5 gallon can!!

Thanks

I see there is a 'Parts wanted' and 'Classified' section in here. Might want to try that if you haven't already. Also, may need to get creative, maybe a new gen. deuce gas tank (don't know if it's hard to do/modify), or put a large fuel cell in the cargo box. Lots of room behind the cab!

Many states' police forces + MV inspectors freak with fuel tanks in the bed, something about transporting fuel, the SEC, HS, NTSB, BOA, Ralph Nader, and more, I sure I don't remember, I don't know.

Just tossing out ideas. I'm sure you could punch holes in any of them. Oregon compared to some other states is pretty lenient on car laws. Especially historical vehicles (outside smog testing). They never/RARELY get 'inspected'. I like those pictures of the gas tank repair! Some people do not have the tank itself, let alone those perfect welding abilities. From a logistical view, way up in the bed would be much safer than hanging of the bottom, right under the cab!

Yes I've posted on there but no luck yet and didn't see anything in the for sale either. Thanks though. Mine came with no tank so I don't have anything to use as a pattern. Wouldn't be bad if it weren't for the curved top. Need to get it pretty precise.

Beautiful rig!

Welcome from over here in Virginia:

- What made you pick that truck to "play" with (didn't open the vid yet, was that in the vid)?
