Super single tire conversion

TRUCK, DUMP, 20 TON, 6X4, ON-OFF HIGHWAY
1976 International Dump Truck, it appears the tire are original to the truck. just over 11000 Miles.
We have owned the truck for 3 years and the rear tires are really starting to show signs of rot with cracks and some wear.
I was thinking that I might do a tire conversion to to "super singles" I am a old field artillery guy (13B) Self propelled M109, so i'm not wise in the world of turning many wrenches on trucks.
From the TM I found out that truck has (STDD ROCKWELL STANDARD 50000 LB.) Rear axles with 12.00 X 20 tires mounted on 20 X 8.0 Rims
Can anyone here advise me on how to move forward with my project. I'm hoping to lower the overall weight of the truck so that I can haul a little more lime, gravel for our farm
the trucks weighs 30,000 Lb empty and we have it tagged for farm use which limits us to 54,000 Lb loaded on 10 wheels.
Has anyone did anything similar? Can you give the name of vendors that sell used rims and tires?

You can use common budd combat 20in wheels. And use 395/85/20 size tire. This is 46in tall. Relatively cheap and abundant tires.

16.00r20s are a common size in surplus but they won't fit the non 6x6 paystar. They will fit the 6x6 with a little fender trim

I've got 4 of the combat wheels you would need in Memphis. I also have lots of tires.

@M35A2-AZ has some 5 ton combat wheels for sale in the classifieds for a good price

My tire listing are also in the classified section

Thanks for replying to my request for information. Since you are in the Memphis area and I'm only 80 miles from there could you give me a price on both tires on wheels? This truck is just used around the farm so new tires aren't really that important to me. I would want to keep the capacity of the truck up up as close 54K as I can.
