I rarely have more than 1500lbs even on yard clean ups. It'll be okay till my hub service jext year. But if I have a chunk of free time and a hair up my keester before then I'll certainly flip them.

It's one of the reasons why I'd like a 5-ton - just another area where the bigger truck is more rugged! Glad you're having fun with your truck (y)

Stripped and needle scaled this whole battery box from David Wymore. No more rusted, bent and crooked compartment. Small win but really makes the body lines straighter. I need a passenger fender and windshields next. Never mind the Exxon Valdez oil spill feeding homemade fuel from buckets.

Still daily driving the truck, fixed a radiator leak but no problems. Due for an oil change already, I graduated the truck driving school Friday and have my class A license, hazmat, doubles, triples, tankers and even a bus and passenger endorsement. Might be taking a job in Dallas hauling brand new peterbilts to the dealerships. It's a union gig with pretty good benefits.

That's great news!

Being a card carrying, dues paying member should create a little more money for sure. AND there is an expectation of better quality folks that you will be associated with as well. That job hauling new Peterbuilt's should cause you to have a First Class tractor to pull with too! Sure hope that works out well for you...

It has its perks! Drive a brand new truck every day, no sleeping in a rig. Health insurance is fully covered for the whole famkly. Hotels paid every night, keep my airline miles and hotel points. There will be Canada travel as well, so I'd like to take some home time up north to see the sights.

Howdy Will! It's teamsters local 745 in Dallas TX, I have my interview Wednesday which they'll fly me to and from. They offer a good pension, among a host of other benefits. I imagine in the next year I'll have the truck where I want it, disc brakes all around, power steering, full sandblast and repaint, new cab, and air conditioning! With how crazy the world has become its nice knowing I have a simple mechanical, reliable vehicle like the deuce around.

It's been awhile, the new job is dynamite. I should have done this 10 years ago. I've been running loads to California or Phoenix a lot so I get to stop by the house about every 5 days. We'll be moving to my terminal in Denton Texas at the beginning of next year. In a couple weeks I will be starting some Canada loads, many of which go to Edmonton where long friend and member M1010plowboy resides. It'll be fun to see him, it's been a long time. In the meantime, these trucks are talking dirty to each other in the front yard. I might wake up to a baby Peterdeuce in the morning.

I REALLY like the 12.00R20 Michelins on there! I'm still planning to do this but with the new job, I've been buried!

They had bigger testicles back then. I bet the tow vehicle has around 200 hp and drags that load up any significant hill at walk-beside-it speed.

Loading these trucks looks like a fun activity.
