I'm using a couple of lawn tractor batteries. They are about 325 CCA and a pair was $60. They spin it over with no trouble.

Is there a particular lawn tractor battery number with large posts or are you modifying the cables? Most lawn tractors I have had use flat terminals and smaller auto batteries typically have smaller OD posts

I use the U1 size and replace the battery cables with ones that fit the bolt through battery lugs. I only use this for my personal machines.
