NO START.. M1031 12v Doghead

Hey guys.

So I haven’t driven the truck for a while so I charged the batteries and tried to fire her up, and nothing. Back story it’s an m1031 that got molested by a kid, block and generator scraped, converter to 12v starter.
All I can hear is the clicking on the Napa part# 7-01860-1 solenoid from the doghead mod which worked before. I thought the solenoid went out so I replaced it and still nothing, just that click.
I also arched the starter to make sure it was good and it is.
I checked voltage going to the Napa solenoid and it’s good to go, 12v constant (red wire) and 12v when I turn the key (purple wht stripe wire) and purple wire that goes the starter solenoid.
What else could have failed that ain’t allowing me to start this beast?

You should be able to jump the big red and purple wires on top of that relay and get the starter to go. Fat screwdriver works.

Make sure your 12v is getting to the starter solenoid from the relay. If you manually triggered the starter with a screwdriver and it spun strong, the ground and supply sides to the starter should be good.

You know if the starter is clicking or the glow plug relay? What's clicking. The doghead relay shouldn't be clicking. If you can jump it underneath at the starter, then giving the same wire power should start the truck.

The purple wire should run all the way to the starter solenoid. When you turn the key and get 12v on your purple wire at the doghead relay, you should also then have 12v on that wire at the starter. If you don't, then you have a connection issue in the wire somewhere. If you do have 12v at the purple wire and on the stud when you turn the key to start, then that likely points toward the starter, as long as the ground connection from the block to battery is known good.
It can be tested off the vehicle pretty easily to confirm if it looks like a starter problem.
