If you have a faded e-stop button, especially on an 831A from UV damage / sun exposure, you can make it bright red again with a small butane torch. Keep a bit of distance so that you don't char it, and it will turn bright red again!

Got the idea from a YT video where they were blasting plastic stadium chairs with a propane torch to make them look new again.

What they probably didn’t mention is that when you do that, it leaches out whatever chemical and shortens the lifespan of the plastic piece drastically.

There's videos of that too, guys doing bumper covers and mirrors, etc.
It will fade again but much quicker than before.

Several guys kept doing it on their stuff and finally the piece broke apart like peanut brittle.

Just info to chew on.

Could you point us towards what you purchased or how you found it ( PN, description etc. )? A while ago I was trying to find a replacement button for one that was partially broken and I didn't have much luck finding a replacement knob back then.

I found a guy that was selling individual switches on the bay from a 30KW set I believe. It had the E-stop, AC circuit interrupter, Battle Short and some others, $10 for any switch. Not sure if I can share the link directly here. Here is the pic from online.
