Window fairings for camper/hard tops?

Just picked up a 1097A2 with the camper(?) top and x-doors. There's double sided tape on the hard top, right above the door windows on each side, so it looks like there was a window fairing or such stuck by the double sided tape above x-doors. If so, are they still available? If it wasn't a window fairing to keep out rain, what else would it have been?

That is called a helmet top probably made by Amtech
That would have been a rain gutter but they did not come "standard" with them, it looks like someone added them but I have no idea if it would be an Amtech product or not.
If you want rain gutters you can have a metal shop break them out of aluminum, in any case I would not apply them with double sided tape

I'll help with that.
Amtech Helmet Hardtop (McClarin Plastics)
it is where some crappy vinyl rain gutter was stuck on.
No it did not come with it nor does Amtech/McClarin make or sell it.

Thanks. I'll remember 'helmet top'...I'm still getting used to HMMWV's.

As far as the rain gutters, my initial thought was it's a civilian add-on but since this one came directly from the military, I thought there was a chance it was a MILSPEC item. I agree attaching it with double sided tape isn't the best idea. I may add the gutters back on just to keep the random rain event in central Texas from leaking in the top. But of all the projects to worry about...that will be low priority.

Priority will be going over her with a fine tooth comb. She starts immediately and doesn't have engine or tranny lights so that's a good start (no pun intended). Fluids, belt, grease, cleaning, etc. wil come before I even take her off the trailer.

That's actually a neat little product but I don't think the rain channel will handle more than a drizzle. I see in your avatar that you have a helmet top with x-doors. Any issues with rain infiltration at the top of the doors during storage?

As long as the seals on the doors and across the windshield are intact it will be pretty dry.

this is a perfect fit for helmet top cross windshield seal. there are a bunch of different shape seals front to back the ones under the cap on the rear fenders are another one I am trying to score really just a square or round EPDM piece with VHB on one side should work to fill the gap. mine came with the windshield seal cut up and used on the doors... which didn't work at all you need a right angle for that but it would only go over the top, not all around the door. I found a D- Shape seal that works well on the body and the regular ribbed door gasket presses up against it. I need to get a lot more of it and wrap all the door openings.

I took a pic of how much the doors jut out from the edge of the helmet top door bevel. Seems to me the helmet top design would be way better if the top of that bevel extended out another inch to allow water to flow towards the outside edge of the door instead of allowing it hit the seals. But yeah, I can see now why folks installed some trim up there to redirect the water.
