There are two wires on the back of the ground lug, one is around 6 ga and the other is around 10 ga, do I remove both and tape up so I can connect neutral and chassis ground to corresponding locations in my house panel

6awg should be the neutral and the 10awh should be the bonding jumper. I feel it's important to warn you that if this is disconnected from the house you need to reconnect that bond

So do I disconnect both wires and tape them up, then connect my house panel ground to the chassis ground on the generator, then connect the panel neutral to l 0 then the two hots from the panel to l 1 and l 3

I understand that, it's only going to be attached to my house , but my question is do I disconnect and tape both wires on the back of the ground lug, the 6 ga and the 10 ga then just attach the ground from the house panel to chassis on generator along with l0 to neutral and l1. And l3 to hot in the house panel

disconnect the small wire and tape it off. (assuming you are talking on the output board)

neutral to LO
a phase to L1
b phase to L3

Maybe I'm misreading, after he disconnects the small wire from the generator ground stud, he then needs the 3 connections you listed above PLUS a ground wire from the house panel to the gen chassis, correct? A 4 wire connection, right?
