DEMILITARIZATION INTEGRITY CODE is 0 at the moment 0DEMIL CODE REVIEWED BY DCMO. RECOMMENDED DEMIL CODE AND CURRENT ICP DEMIL CODE ARE NOT EQUAL. PRESENTLY IN COLLABORATION CYCLE.

Guess it means they're reviewing it
Interesting that they are also reviewing cargo deuces.

on the OP - it's a 185, which is usually an electronics shop van vs a 109, which is the same exterior, but has mechanical shop (of sorts) as its payload.

Earth - First they send you an e-mail, then they follow up with a letter in the snail mail and you must respond within x number of days. I had something similar happen with some old field phones. GL wanted them back about six months after I got them because of a re-classification. I had already given them to the SC State Guard (and two of the seven were TA-43's not TA-312's) and sent that information to them. IE, last I saw them, they were at such-and-such NG Armory, located at xxx address. GL replied, thank you very much. I think DLA called the armory, who confirmed my story. The field phones are still at the armory a year later. BTW, my EUC said that was why I was getting them. YMMV.

Does it say anywhere that the truck has to be in one piece?
i'd be more interested to know what would happen if it were not.

he said he'd had the truck since february...........what if he had gotten it, something was wrong with it and now the oil pan is in california, the axles under a jeep in mississippi, etc.......

I'm pretty sure I would take this slow and easy for now. I still bet it has to do with the current snafu going on with all M35a2s right now.

Until you tell us everything that was in the e-mail, I don't think anyone can really help you with what to do or how to do it.

Unless you get a visit in person or a registered letter or are served papers, I really wouldn't act other than to stay in contact with who ever sent you the E-mail.

This is not "legal advise", just my thoughts.:wink:

I currently have a M109A3 and a M35A2 that I need to pick up. I wonder if it would be prudent to wait and see how this shakes out before I get them?

I hope that this does not snowball and they end up wanting all the Deuces back.

If you respond that you have sold part but not all of the item they will want what you have left back. I know this from first hand experience.

Yeah I have a pending EUC on a M35A2C.

They better not be deciding to keep them.

Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, but could this have anything to do with why my Deuce EUC is taking so long? Is there a chance they could end up canceling many of the pending EUCs if they found a better place for the trucks to go?

Alot of flatbeds with winches would be needed to gather up the thousands of trucks in private hands at this point. . . granted it could be done, but at huge cost.

And once Congress critters get involved and start asking questions. . . well, I'll leave it there.

LOOK!!! A ZOMBIE!!!, right over there!!!! :p

Are you suggesting that the Feds don't lie to us?
Agreed. It should go both ways... it's only fair :p

Jim I hate to say this, but with all the developments, I'd guess right now it is 50/50 we'll ever get our trucks.

BTW, I'm sure they'd love to trash pending EUC's instead of work on them.

Also, if they refund my sale, I will be cancelling my GL account.

:ditto:
I have had them , (DLA),show up twice to "retrieve" items, 5 years ago black CID crown vic, small hubcaps, cheap suits, two years ago DHS nice Eddie Bauer suburban , Hawaiian shirts and shorts. Both times treated me right, I was honest and they were honest with me.2cents

This is not GL that drives this Train it is the DLA ie. the Battle Creek folks.

For all of those "listening" to this thread, ...
Please decipher the abbreviations:
DLA = :?:
CID = :?:
DHS = Department Of Homland Security
GL = Government Liquidation

I actually got onto chat and asked Heidi this very question a few minutes ago. She said they know nothing until Department Of Defense tells them. As of now they had to pull the actions on some trucks because of the demil code review, otherwise they know nothing more than that. She does not see this affecting any past sold trucks, but they reserve the right to come back after them at any time per the user agreement.

DLA= dept logistical affairs? Considering that we have members who are not prior service or gov employed and some of us who are prior service and still have no idea what the abbreviation mean, we should stop using them all together. What is the point of posting something if half or better of the readers don't understand it?

I can't believe that it is only his one truck being recalled, I am waiting to see how big this really is since they have pulled all the M35A2's and M109A3's from GL.
