I plan on doing mine in tan and black, just because the 105 bed and cover are tan so I figure I'll paint the rest of the truck to match.

Thanks

Thanks, I am still thinking it needs something...maybe a tiger stripe or two...what do you think?

Thumbs up to Matt T. for building the truck. I am more of the detail and style guy. David

How do these wheels track on the rear if you don't flip the hubs (leave them stock) but mount the wheels with the deep dish out? I think these trucks look MUCH better that way verses the flat face of the wheel facing out.

Hello Donkdonk, good looking wheels, is there an eBay add for them or is there someone else selling similar ones there? I am interested to know what would be the shipping to Phoenix of 6 of those, and can you get the bead lock insert for those?

Thanks, and PM me if that is easier.

Nice rims. But i do need to ask what will happen when a wheel fails and a person gets hurt or killed? I really don't think "I sold them for Off Road use" will matter in court. The problem is your rim is not DOT approved and guys are putting them on the road. I can see some lawyer just waiting to take a case like this. Guy makes rim at home. Guy buys rim to put on truck and drives down the road. Rim fails person got killed. I think the thought of losing everything i have for my truck to look cool might make me think again. I do not want to piss on your rims but you are taking one **** of a risk. And i just can not wait until a sharp DOT guy or trooper looks at the rims and finds out they are home made and not DOT approved and on the road. And there a few guys out there that know all about our trucks because they are ex military and know what is stock or made. Your truck will sit there dead lined on the spot until you remove the rims or tow it home on a flat bed. And i hate to think of the fine you will get. Guys lots of things to think about here. Are you willing to lose it all?

Thanks for your concern, but I think it's best if you keep to your business and I keep to mine. Thanks

If you take post 22 for what it is, going by that way of thinking then you could get a long list of DOT violations if you were pulled over and got an inspection: no seat belts, improper or no clearance lights, bumper height violation and on and on. I believe most DOT inspectors are like most cops and troopers, most of them know which laws they must enforce and which laws are just chicken **** tickets. Most of them are not going to go giving you a big safety lecture on your wheels when they know they're looking for the severly overloaded and truley unsafe comercial trucks running down the road. Lawyers on the other hand, well I was taught if you cant say anything nice then dont say anything at all.

Not a problem just remember Post #22 also. My concern is done.
Post #22 was not relevant. It only pertains to COMMERCIAL trucks, not personal trucks. There would be no reason whatsoever to stop at a weigh station for your own truck.

All of this has been covered a zillion times, no need to go over it again.

Hemmit wheels --- is there anything else that I need to know about mounting them on a 5 ton M813? I found out after I had it jacked up and the front tires removed that the studs are not long enough since the hemmit whell is so thick. I am left with two options and they are pull the hub and change the studs out or put bud caps on the front like the rear and also have to change the lug nuts to the larger ones that will fit the bud caps.

It there anything else that I should know and remember this is the first time I have ever done thins so please don't assume that I already know something no matter how simple it is. I do know there are left and right threaded studs and nuts and the studa are too short for Hemmit wheels but that is about all I know.

That is a cool truck but I was talking about a BLACK truck like my chevy dulley Base Coat Clear Coat BLACK:-D My gut is screaming NO NO NO Don't do it but I don't know if I can keep myself from makeing this mistake at least once. That is unless someone has a photo of some other dummy that has tried it and I can see for myself that it is a huge mistake.

Also on the seatbelt thing -- I guess those people that know everything exist on SS also

I drove my first Duece home from Deleware to Texas and never even slowed down for a weigh station and had many many many city cops, DPS, Sherriff's, border patrole, and I had NO markings at all on my truck and Tac marks were painted over and ALL smilled and waved accept for the one at teh Truck stop that just wnated to look and ask questions about where he could get one. ( SLowing down for a weigh station would not have been a issue anyway I think I could have gone through one at full throtle and not been over the speed limit going over the scale:-D ) So get insurance, drive curtious and enjoy, no worries!!!
