yeah $50 seems high, but i looked and looked for a cheaper one when i bought some.

high demand, not many people selling them so the price goes up and up. I watched one on e-bay go for $75 about a month ago.
I guess getting two new-in-the-bag for $5 each was a good deal for me...;-)

Didn't know the metal spouts worked with the plastic cans, thanks for that tip.

Cheers

I can buy some the MFC nozzles directly from Scepter, these nozzles are brand new. The price for the nozzles is $27.00 each plus 5% tax and transport and that is with 0% markup. I can get a better price if I buy 100 to 200. The going price of these will be $30-$35 ea + shipping. Yea it is expensive but supply versus demand!!!! I also found out why the Scepter cans are not surplused by the military in the US: reason EPA rules

Yea its the greenies that have em outlawed in alomost all states, not all yet though, they say in long term storage there is the 'possibility" of PSBs leaching thru the plastic, these cans are made to be run over by a vehicle the size of a Humvee ..when full of fuel of course and will not burst they also are the only can i know of rated to be carried in an air plane full, these are super cans for sure, funny how they will not allow the sale of spouts and such when its the can that has the "possibility " of leaching the bad bad bad stuff that may do us all in someday. LOL...Just incase some guys do not know they allso sell the satraps that hold the lid on in yellow for diesel and red for gas, and i think blue foe kero too, mind is funny on remembering that one but think so, So u guys in Canada can get those too, I bought 30 yellow and 20 red when i went thru having my cans and parts sent all over the country to get em to NJ....Thanks for chiming in from canada to help us yanks out...:-D

Customs has caught on to the "ship illegal Scepter fuel can products to the US for huge profit", and have been confiscating it at the border...............

Any update

Has anybody found a way to get the Scepter nozzle here in the US?

Drive to Canada... Fill engine compartment with nozzles.. sneek back accross the border.. dont look guilty...

Geez what happened to the Adults that were running this country!

Maybe i should ask the Illegals on the corner to smuggle me some back from their country...

Also, check the vent tube in the can. They can and do get blocked. When clear you can dump a can of fuel in a minute.

I realize I'm bumping a thread that has been dormant for 6 years, but I just hate to see questions unanswered when I know of at least one answer.

This seller "JAGMTE" (Just A Guy Making Things Easier) also sells heavily on eBay. But save a few dollars (already expensive enough) and you can order directly from his website:

http://jagmte.com/

You'll find replacement caps, flanges, Viton gaskets, different colored straps, spouts, O-rings for the spouts, and many videos he's made and put on YouTube to help you disassemble and reassemble your Scepter fuel can caps and why your inner flange keeps breaking (hint: non-Viton gasket swells when used with gasoline).
I received my package from JAGMTE. It was very well packaged in separate padded pouches and then combined into one padded envelope.

I had a can with a shredded cap strap. I had to break the collar ring to get it off it was such a tight fit. In the picture below is a side by side comparison of thicknesses of the new strap (left) from JAGMTE and the original one from Scepter (right). The new one is slightly thinner, and thus, more flexible.
