Dang. I meant to do a preliminary PCMS on the truck this weekend but totally forgot. Looks like I will be doing the check the night before the event.

I gotta do some checks as well, including an oil change. I normally operate the crane at idle and that dilutes the oil with Diesel. Luckily it's only 8-9 gallons of oil, unlike the Cummins I drove years ago that held 15.

Hehe. I just did an oil change tonight, Poured the oil into the gas tank. 50 miles of free gogo juice every oil change is always nice. I just got do another test drive to make sure the fuel system is up to snuff and then Im ready to roll.

You should take a viscosity reading on the lube oil - I bet it's really not diluting much - never hurts just to change of course but might not be the dire need as imagined...

I replaced the master cylinder in the Duece and she has brakes again!

I also fixed the passenger step I managed to turn inside out when I got the truck stuck - only leaves a dead headlamp and a flasher unit which does not flash...

Got the new flasher box but headlamp is on the slow boat from the east coast... might make it here prior...

Then just gotta get the spare Cletrac radiator out of the bed and on a pallet... Never got a chance to mess with the crane as I've been up in Ketchikan, AK all last week...

Slowly but surely...

Did get a pristine copy of the June 1st 1943 parts book for the MG-1 M2 Cletrac's in the mail today - 184 pages of illustrations and parts break downs! Way cool...

Very nice Matt, glad to hear thins are comin' along.

I've been noticing a reduction of oil pressure when hot and it feels more like a multigrade than straight 40. I don't like to see 5 psi when hot, common but I don't like it. Luckily a Chevron dist. in Ballard stocks Delo 100 40 for all the boats.

Scott,

Sorry I could not meet you and REO 54 at GL. Besides being on a Monday the last two weeks have been rather busy for me.

Yeah - at least 10 or 15 would be nice! You going to Covich? That's what I've been running in the duece - get it for free from the Highway boats... They use it for the little Kitty motors... 3508, 379 gensets...

I am debating running the older m-series korean era lights on the wrecker or modern composites... Still cannot decide...

In other news I ran into a Saracen just fresh off the barge in Ketchikan, was parked at the State Troopers and owner privately by the Lt. on duty - we talked a little bit but it seemed in nice shape... Kinda random but fun; got some pics if you're interested...

Hrm, I need to make a list of all the things I need from Brad, But I shot myself in the footday and bought a suburban so cash is scarce.

Yup hw came through. i'll be owner of a nato cable now hehe

Currently, I'm the owner of a NATO cable. Not sure what to do with one. Maybe sell it on Craigslist for $50.00

Anyone got $50.00? You may have to wrestle Scott for it, but after his surgery, should be easy enough to do! rofl

So Jinx, what time are we meeting in Sultan? I have a feeling if I don't show up Saturday, Scott may follow you home...

Hey,sorry to miss you Dale.Didn't know you were about. Not to worry,I'll be back..
Maybe see you weekend??
Perhaps, My wife is off work for the weekend which almost never happens so she may have other plans. I considered maybe hitting the ski slopes or at least taking the family to hit the sled runs. Normally we don't have the funds but we just received our taxes so maybe we can spurge just this once. I'll let you guys know later in the week.
