OK thinking of getting a m35a3 shop truck. I know they have the 46 inch super singles. Was wondering if you can run the 53 inch tall tires and what mods you have to do? I know they sell wheel inserts for the 5 ton wheels to convert them. Not loking to bobb the truck. Going for one big bad ass camper/ tow truck. I have seen the 5 tons with the 53 but not the 2 1/2 ton.

No chance in towing anything with a deuce and 53s. Most folks I talk to wouldn't do it again. Are you thinking of the multi powered deuce or the Cat powered deuce? The m109a3 is a multi. You might get away towing with the 818 cause it has a cummins, I doubt the A3 or A4 would do very well.

You have to understand, we get the same question a couple times a week and it wears on a lot of us. It is what it is, some are more cranky than others, even I am guilty.

Just my opinion my A3 on 53`s does very well driving around. No I have not tried to pull anything I feel the power is there if needed...

You are the first I know of with a Cat and 53s, its good to get some feed back. My LDS powered deuce feels like a hot rod, but when I tow a deuce or 5ton, its slow.

Cat motor. At the most it would be 10,000 to 12,000 pounds. The super singles will work. Just like the look of a big truck with a big tire. Plus the added top speed. Yes i know it robs your power. Never had a deuce just think it would be a cool project.
