Sounds like a great deal except the possibility that he'll "steal" your truck. I'm considering going through them as soon as I find the manufacturing date stamp on my M54A2 so I can prove the year if necessary.

screw its. dan over at WWW.DETVINCYC.TK (586) 777-6992 already has a title for me! and ****, emails, calls, just to let me know whats going on. i have paypaled him, and hope to see my title this week. not even the 45 days he stated. his title surch goes threw the fbi database, then he goes from there. a few others from nv are going threw dan with great results. i do recommend dan for your title needs. also note, having a P.O.A. ( power of attorney ) over your car ( or you ), is not something i would want anyone to have. thats just what its does! look it up guys, a P.O.A. is in control of YOUR say, not only that, but they also can get into control of you money.

It is good to have options and not be limited to one solution.

Do you have any details about how these folks do business? Do you receive a title with their service and if so, what State?
1redgmc - did you fill out the section where it asks for the vermont drivers license number with your WV license # or leave it blank?

Great thread, exact situation with ITS, only with a vintage triumph motorcycle.

Thanks for great detail and time line!

Hello!

I left it blank. If you have ANY questions - do not hesitate to call VT DMV and ask the friendly customer service folks for help. They are super!

UPDATE - after dragging my feet for several months - I finally went to the WV DMV to apply for my title. The local (Martinsburg) office had never seen anything like the VT paperwork, so the lady took it and disappeared into an office with someone else for about 15 minutes.

I presume they were calling someone or looking it up online...

So she comes back and says she cannot process the title application until I get a VIN # verification...

Ah, no problem... any local LEO (Cop) can do that - so I sought out a Deputy Sheriff and had him do it. He was VERY happy to help and spent more time asking questions about the deuce than he did verifying the VIN. In fact, I had to remind him to complete the paperwork!

So my reluctance was all for nothing. This whole process was actually very EASY...

Just like finally getting fed up enough to call out the ITS a$$hole for ripping me off - and going direct to VT - I should have gone to WV DMV sooner. Nothing ventured - nothing gained!

That joker STILL hasn't delivered?

Spend the extra $$$ - go direct to VT DMV, get your plates and registration - THEN - if and when ITS delivers, you send that crap back to VT for a refund.

Your only loss? Whatever $$$ ITS has charged over and above what VT has charged.

Well, that will be your FINANCIAL loss... because you can't get back any of the TIME that ITS has WASTED screwing you over.

Wanna hook up and go out to visit him for a blanket party?

Thanks again. Sorry to pester, but to confirm, for a registration and plate only, you were not required to send in a VIN check to VT?
I have one but will need it for when I apply for the RI title after I receive the VT registration and plates. Makes sense now that I think of it, just not used to state department for motor vehicles actually making sense.

I had gone through the exact same garbage with ITS as 1redgmc, but with a vintage Triumph motorcycle, time frame was october '10 till last month, I paid with a credit card, and reversed charges only after he lied to me in December and said just a couple more weeks, then didn't return multipel phone calls, emails and a call into the VT DMV turned up no info suggesting the paperwork had even been submitted.
So three weeks ago, famous Joe at ITS calls and says its almost ready, but because I denied the charges, I would have to send a money order. I explained when he faxes me a copy of a registration cert in my name, I'll send a money order. I immediatley called VT DMV to verify, and to no surprise, VIN still not in there database.

My out of pocket expense at this point, is i believe a $25 charge for reversing the charge on my credit card. I'm taking 1RedGMC's advice and am dealing with VT DMV directly. I'll repost and let everyone know what happens.

Correct. No VIN check needed - so long as you have a bill of sale that reflects the VIN. You can always send them a copy and keep the original.

Glad to hear you aren't out too much $$

Vermont Title

I just used the Vermont DMV to get a title for a truck of mine. Great service from a DMV, all I had to do was mail in a MO for the taxes/ reg. fees and a bill of sale. They sent a reg. and tags to me in Maryland no problem. So if you need a title this is the way to go!!!

NO NEED TO USE A TITLE SERVICE EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i.t.s. is a rip off

I sent $325 only to get stiffed by this guy. Won't answer calls, emails, faxes or letters. Been three months and nothing. Reported him to BBB and the Federal Trade Commision since Nevada does not have a Consumer Affairs Division. Anyone else ripped off by him should do the same. Nevada A. G. said if I took him to court then they might help. Don't trust this guy.
