    Uh, oh! Anti-freeze In the Oil

    Can the oil cooler be repaired or does it need to be replaced ? My M35 gets a small amount of coolant in the crankcase also, maybe 2 pints in the high part of the pan, the oil never shows any sign of coolant mixing and the coolant is clean ( radiator and what comes out of the pan both) Thoughts ?

    Well, the one I have looks exactly like the pic that B3.3T posted,(except for the paint job) heavy frt & rr racks. Does anyone know how they where up graded for Mil. service ? I'd be inerested to know what they did to them. Thanks

    I've got one for you, not from Military service, but it is a KLT 250, new starter & battery, new frt wheel brgs, starts and runs very well, tires are about 85 - 90% and it's painted 4 color camo. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you some pic's

    Jeep M38 Hood Star Info

    Going by the book, Vehicle markings 1945-1954, it should be 15" dia. located 1.5 inches from the dashboard so it's visable with the windshield up or down. I'll check my '51 M38 hood when I go to the shop tomorrow and see where it's located.

    Looking for M880

    David, It does sound like fuel problems, white smoke indicates fuel too lean, could be clogged filters, or dirty injectors, or the injectors out of adjustment,( they need to be set like tappets," running the rack").
