So I replaced the whole unit. During the removal of the the unit I broke off the (heat controller) tab on cable that inserts into the control head unit. Great! what I shoulda done was cut it out with out damaging the cable tab. So I jerry rig it and alter the new control head so I can zip tie...
The fan speed control arm just slipped off on mine, do I need to replace the whole climate control unit? or is that switch itself replaceable? its a 84 CUCV

Howdy Neighbors, it does bring a lump to the throat and a little welling up to the eye.
I went ahead and installed the (gen 1) rare electrical alternator. When it came to the ground
wire connection I installed it on where the same bolt the bad alt was. Turn key on and no (gen 1) light, so I
switched it to the other bolt, I turn the key on and both gen lights on, and engine cranks...
I went ahead and ordered the rare electrical alt, and a rebuild kit, plan is to pull the new looking remy alt
and drop in the rare electrical, and rebuild the remy. Ive received the rebuild kit. no bearings tho, didn't really think about it.
Winter is around the corner here in North Texas, just...
Has anyone ordered and used this alternator, Im looking for a 84 M1009 alternator.
any suggestions or help apprechiated.
Or where could I find a rebuild kit?
Rare Electrical - OE STYLE ISOLATED GROUND CUCV 12 VOLT 100 AMP ALT
The handle is engaged moves slightly up and down bout an inch or so, but will not close.
The access panel is off and I’m stumped at how to get the glass outa the way and find/fix the problem.
