Has anyone bought an M1009 that doesn't start?

That's a good idea. I just couldn't check the truck out personally since I'm in school full time. Maybe I could find someone in the area to take a peek at it if I was interested in one? I saw that one. Good luck with it! ;o

Has anyone bought an M1009 that doesn't start?

I figured as much. I guess that's part of the risk of buying through an auction...It seems less expensive that buying a truck off of someone, but you don't really know what you're getting unless you can look at it before you buy it. It seems kind of exciting, but it would suck getting a truck...

Has anyone bought an M1009 that doesn't start?

For those of you that have bought an M1009 from an auction, I was curious how many of you bid on a vehicle that didn't run and what your experience was with this. I've just been watching the auctions for a while and I've seen some good looking trucks, but the ones that run seem to be few and far...

    Hello from Columbus, OH!

I got a little sidetracked, but I took the car to get looked at yesterday. The guy at the shop took a look at it and told me it wasn't the strut. So the guy who looked at it before either had a slip of the tongue or didn't know what he was talking about.(I had no clue so I can't really say...

New Owner of M37 New York

That's a pretty nice looking truck you got there. If I were you one of the first things I'd do would be to replace those seats with something that at least looks original to the truck. There's OD green stuff out there that's comfortable and looks authentic.

    M1068 Pictures

I had some pictures of an M1068 from my old unit back in 2007, so I figured I'd share them with you guys. They're not the best quality since I took them from a cell phone back then, but I tried to get as many pics as I could at the time.

    Interesting find

Yeah, it looks pretty solid aside from the plants growing on it. Hope it goes to someone who'll take care of it.

    Interesting find

I'd imagine it's not too hard to find. ;p No problem! I tend to lurk auction sites and I thought this was unusual enough. Figured at least someone would be interested. The dodge's aren't my favorite, but I know what you mean. I'm the same way looking at M1009's. I'm probably going to be...

    Interesting find

I saw this pop up on an auction website. I didn't even know the military had any of these left...Looks like it's in decent shape as far as the body and paint goes though.

Question about GL auction posting rule

I'm sure some do. I'm still pretty new here though and wouldn't want to leave a bad impression. And yeah, that's the one.

Question about GL auction posting rule

Nah, it's a military vehicle. Just one I'd never seen even when I was in the Army and didn't think the government had on the books anymore. The truck had DFEL sprayed on the bumper. Googled it and it came up with Directorate of Facilities Engineering & Logistics. I'm just surprised that this...

Question about GL auction posting rule

I've read the rules about posting about current GL auctions, but I vaguely remember reading something in regards to posting about rare or unique auctions. I searched the forum but I can't find where I saw that. Anyone have any idea where that's stated?

    Hello from Columbus, OH!

I got it looked at when I was down in Cincinnati and the guy said it just needed new bolts. He quoted me $65 for the labor because he said it'd take an hour to take it apart and get it back together. I'd get it done there but it's like two hours away, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to get a second...
