Hey guys. I have a 931 converted to an m923 . I put a 12 ft duece bed on it. Anyway I have been having accessory air trouble. I replaced the governor ppv ,checked for leaks everywhere. Wipers and horn would barely squeek or move. But gauges showed 130 psi. My buddy Wes has helped me out today...
Hey got my transmission in and going. I refilled with atf and it is a totally different machine. I would recommend changing the motor oil out and using atf. It shifts smoother and downshifts smoother also.
I was thinking the torque converter dryer may have been my problem. Like it had fluid locked because of a sticking valve. I am reading g where some people are changing to attend fluid because if you are not loading the truck like it was in service, the thinner fluid helps the converter unlock...
well i got my air problem fixed in the 5 ton, ppv valve was stuck even after i cleaned it so i put some lithium on it . it works good now. horn and wipers come on and work well at 70 pounds. But my trany i think is shot. it spewed oil out of the dipstick tube after i put some fluid in. it locks...
I have owned it three weeks. I am in process of changing everything now. The air dryer filter is next. And I can hear air venting in the intake tube . Tm says trany vents there and there is something else but I haven't found it yet.
It has been freezing and below the last couple of nights. I wondered if it could be moisture freezing up. It has been working flawlessly. But I have had no pressure for horn or wipers until I get on the road. Even with 120 in both tanks. And low air light comingon with full pressure.
