    Recent Button and clip re-attachment

It may be my “language “ of said components. Droop screw may not be the correct terminology. However that’s where I am at. It seems to ask for more fuel in the higher gears. Question is, is it a fuel delivery issue or an adjustment issue

I believe it’s a type “G” code injector pump, when removal of the top cover on the back of the pump, it exposes the jam nuts . It’s the rod that pushes the stop plate. It wasn’t allowing the fuel cutoff lever to move past the 6 o’clock position.I’m in the TM9 right now, page 152of 208.

It’s a fresh IP, I had it installed by a service place here in the northeast. It ran for about a month then died. I had to let it sit for a while, now I had time to do some research and talk to a few people. I removed the HH and the problem was found. It ran without issues.

    Recent Button and clip re-attachment

Ok, so after quite a while of sitting. I ventured into uncharted territory of pulling the HH and discovering the main issue. The button and clip fell off. Simple enough fix, new clip and o-rings and reassemble, easy enough. Only to find out the droop screw wouldn’t let the fuel shut off to...

    IP installment with a mystery

A little update, C&C equipment has got me in contact with American Bousch, and they are going to diagnose the pump issue via phone conversation. If they can't walk me thru some standard remedies, I am to pull the pump and send it back to them for testing. Don't know what that turn around time is...

    IP installment with a mystery

I would consider all these suggestions, as to what might be the issue, However a fresh rebuilt pump for the factory shouldn't have the issues of a well worn pump....

    IP installment with a mystery

I would agree that the orings were at least 1/2 the issue, however the 2nd part of that is, it would even start without a healthy dose of starter fluid.

    IP installment with a mystery

Well too late Rusty, I only loosened them a 1/4 turn to see if the shut off had less restriction. It didn't, so I tightened it back up and re-safety wired it. The weather here is iffy right now, but the next step is a pressure gauge. Is there ANY way that the pump marks can line up with the...

    IP installment with a mystery

well after a bit of tinkering with the shot off rod screws, removed the air cleaner (to see if it was starving for air)....and no change, still hunts and won't start on its own. I can set the idle to about 950-1000 and it stays running and does hunt anymore, just don't feel comfortable with that...

    IP installment with a mystery

SEARLS, I read your post with the fuel shut off rod, and this one on my new pump is awfully tight, I have to push to move it. On my old pump it moved freely,I'm going to loosen the 2 safety wired screws today and see if it frees up. As for fuel pressure,I have to go find a gauge that'll do the...

Ok folks, First off I want to thank GIMP for all his help, he has gone above and beyond with this issue and we are still going with it ..... Here's my story, about 10 months my Deuce died in my driveway, and I had to let it sit till just this past week. Since then I have done my homework, I...

    Injection pump replacement assistance.

Hey Fellow soldiers, I am in a bit of a pickle, last fall my deuce died (luckily in my driveway). From doing countless hours of scouring this forum, I learned quite a bit about the fuel system. I've read a lot about the HH, which i rebuilt a spare one I had and tried to remedy my...

    M35A2 wheel spacers

I've been having an issue with my driver side front tire rubbing my steering control arm. It's only a problem with right hand turns, but it seems to be chewing up my inner tread of the tire. I have done my fair share of digging tiring to to find a solution. Does anyone have this issue? And if so...

New member here in need of some Assistance

Thanks to all for the good advice, I have a working knowledge of motor vehicles. My thoughts behind this decision was to get a professional opinion before I start tinkering myself, just so I know what I got myself into. The former owner swore by its reliablility,I see a lot of tech manual...
