    USS Iowa's M923

Hello everyone, I'm working on the M923 for the USS Iowa battleship in San Pedro Ca. Dan Pawloski from ships OP's has requested a few parts for the truck. We need a air filter cover w/ filter, drain plug for tank and air pack filter. If you have these parts or know someone who does you can...

    M43 blowers

Thank you Zout. I knew something wasn't right. I'll swap the squirrel cages around and try that. I only took one motor off before to lube it. That was a nightmare to get it apart and back together.

    M43 blowers

I am just about done restoring a 1952 M43 that was once owned by the Navy. My question is, when I turn the blower motors on, it blows air out the front. Logic would seem that is wrong from how the upper vents face. The TM I have doesn't state what direction the air flows. Anyone know?

    M35A2 Winch Operations

Thanks for this! I've always done it with 2 people (one on outside to lock drum) but now I can see how to do it alone. I've always made sure there is no one anywhere near pull area as I know it might never happen but I've got a fear of cable snap or slap hurting someone.

    Air temp vs breaks?

I do concur Welldigger. However I do not have the time to track it down right now. I understand REO used the KISS idea for keeping truck going so there has to be something we are missing. Could any water in the line work it's way down to the wheel where it could turn to gas? Just trying to chase...

    Air temp vs breaks?

This is what we did, Allen saw that the fluid was not purple and decided it needed to go. We flushed the system and put in new DOT5 made by GUNK in and started the normal bleed process. We have not taken off the wheels yet but when I get out of the hospital we will. But let me tell you with the...

    M35A2 High Idle Issue

Forgot about this. **** I'm working to much these days. Problem was the fuel in the tank was not what I normally run. Drained all that and purged system of it. Refilled with #2 from Shell and truck ran smooth as glass. Gave the 5gal I saved to the guys down the road that work on modern trucks to...

    Air temp vs breaks?

Ok so the lack of sleep over the past few weeks and major surgery on my mind, my internal spell checker was off. Thank you the word would be brakes.

    Air temp vs breaks?

Ok I called Craig over at Tank Land to see if he ever heard of this before and he told me to post here. California air temp during the morning was 48deg, I drove from San Pedro (USS Iowa) to Crono Ca and breaks felt squishy. Break had more movement than any other time I have ever drove it...

Behr Paint Jobs- Show me your MV's

Anyone have the Behr code for the USMC 24052 simi gloss? Or even a paint chip I can take down to Home Depot to color match? Been looking all over the web for photo of just the color but found to many with with shine or other things.

    2013 SoCal Spring Rally

That is a great idea, I was looking at a place to put him. Muttly is going to be on the doors of the 1968 truck. Leroy knows a older artist from Hanna Barbara that will do it after the new paint. I've gotta find someone quick that has a paint rig.

I think Odie should be ready by then, at least for the most part.

    M939 primer rebuild needed

Howdy folks, I did a major error and when trying to rebuild the primer pump I lost the spring and ballbearing (or what ever it was?) on the primer pull thing. Does anyone have these parts or a new primer handle thing? Sorry I do not know the correct names of the parts.

    M35A2 High Idle Issue

Ok the springs are good. Throttle returns to close (firewall). Also internal lever seems to be moving ok as well. It really does smell like kerosene in the tank with a mix of normal gas. Not 100% sure what the USMC put in the thing when I got it. I'm almost positive there is something wrong with...
