To check if it is the hydro boost:
While turning the wheel on either direction, step on the brakes. If the whine goes away or decreases... you can blame it. Air is getting in. If not the lines, might be its seals.
I got the same problem once.
Found it doing a pre check before the inspection.
I started with the brake switch. Even when passing the continuity check, i could feel a bump when playing it by hand. I thought I found the issue. Replaced it, to find out it was not it.

Fuel filters will hold that stuff. Is a must replacement.
Nowadays, this type of battery has a smaller battery inside them for emergency starts. Over discharging is prevented by a circuit board that shuts down on those situations. Looks pretty safe.
But, cost speaks very loudly.

those type of batteries are very safe. they are the safest over all.
no catching fire or exploding.
the charging process was my concern, even there, the documentation says it is a superior system.
It is expensive.
I use 1 in my bike.
It last longer, it had a very slow discharge rate...
As the hmmwv stays for long periods in the garage, even though attached to the 'noco genius' the battery, is going away.
I was thinking if someone was using it already.

But, i believe, that's exactly what happens when you get the 'vampire t-case'.
The cooling loop cracks and dexron is pumped into the tcase. It gets full then there is no else to go, but into the t case air vent... then into the air cleaner .
