after the first gulf war i saw a couple drmo m880s with 360s, 1 was a prisoner transport m886 with meshed windows, stripped interior & very cool aluminum bench lockers instead of liter racks, also seen several 2wd m880s with 360s, replacement crated 360s in containers were surplused as well

i have seen a few different brush guards on m880s, little push bars, tubular wide versions that protect the fragile grill, but i think the style with steel mesh over the headlights are issue, one m880 in st ignace michigan on craigslist has it on it, seen on airforce 4 doors, my m886 has...

looks like a great site, had my m886 since 98 and i still love it, most useful vehicle i ever had, got it for a song, solid with 1700 original miles, some one hacked a modification on the roof and just sheeted it with aluminum so i always wanted to customize it, about 5 years ago...

near 20mpg, 17- 18, other than a NOS carter 2 barrel & new everthing for the ignition system, not much but if one plug wire is bad or anything else is wrong it becomes a instant gas hog, drastic difference any body know if a 2wd m880 y pipe will work on the 4x4?

i put a economy cam in my 1976 m886 and was approching 20 mpg highway, even with the full time 4wd but mine also cruises 75 easy & most tell me theirs works to hard to go over 65, i still would keep even it if it got less than 10mpg though

ever follow up on that m886?
