Smoke from GP Relay swap. Will not cycle...

After reading some of the related posts on this, I thought I'd post my error... During replacement of my relay switch, I failed to disconnect my batteries prior to removal of the old switch. Voila! smoke. I installed the new GP switch and now it doesn't cycle, click, nothing. No 'wait' light...

Reminds me of my ol' VW bus from way back. It had a similar motif. Very cool.

is there an HID kit for the CUCV/H6054 lights?

Then the Bosch or Hella H4 conversions would work well with the xenon PIAA bulbs. PIAA's are not cheap, but they're really bright and I've never had a problem with them, plus, the Bosch and Hella light conversions still retain a stock appearance.

is there an HID kit for the CUCV/H6054 lights?

The headlights on a CUCV are one of the most common around. You can get a 7" 6052, 6002 H4 conversion from Bosch, Hella, etc and add the HID ballast kit to them. There are alot of cheaper chinese HID kits out there that I wouldn't recommend; it's the 'you get what you pay for' deal. There is...

Man, I wish I had the cash for this...

Yeah, just like the add says. I've wanted to do the same thing with a stock one but this would save me the work.

There have been a few for sale around that price. Most I see are around 800-1000.

Man, I wish I had the cash for this...

This would make the perfect trailer for my rig. I have a set of five 35" BFG mudders just like it waiting to go on my truck. M101 trailer

My CUCV is running just fine thank you!

I thought I'd start a thread to talk about how reliable your rig has been for you. Seems like alot of break-down and mechanical/electrical issues to read here but nothing about how well these things perform when all is working fine. Aside from a few bushings to replace in the near future, my...

    shackle hitting frame

I'm doing mine soon as well. The old red polyurathane ones I had in are pounded out. I'm installing new Energy Suspension graphite impregnated ones with greasable bolts. Replacing the remaining rubber ones while I'm at it as well. The whole works, my cost, was around $100-

What's with the maroon colored interior?

That is bear mace. Alot of big black bears around here and they come into my yard for the apples. Had my cat chase one up the tree one day and the conservation officer had to tranquilize the bugger to get him out.

What's with the maroon colored interior?

Yes, yes it is. It's a Bostrom Viking seat. I have another to put in the passenger side too. makes for a nice ride on the gravel roads.

Canadian govt scrapping 4 Leopard tanks

That wouldn't be Ian @ IMS? I had a look at the Leopard out there. He's still working on getting the turret apparently but the rest is complete.

    M1009 gets a snorkel

And after all the effort I put into mine, I could've just went down to Home Depot.... Say, how about opening that hood of yours? Do you now have to remove the snorkel each time you do?
