    Building a m101 cargo box

Sorry, I don’t have a M105A2 in my green herd. The M101A2 and M116A2 dimensions are from trailers I can walk out and measure. The PDF is for fender extensions on the M101A2 tub due to the wider M116A3 axle/wheels (Hummer related). If I can get access to a 105, I’ll measure the fenders on it...

    Building a m101 cargo box

To get a similar look, you would need to go 7-8" above your fender top.

    M101 A3 trailer fender dimensions

Good idea on moving the fenders. My A2 already had the inner fenders cut, so I couldn't move them. Also, the shop I used to make the outer extensions has gone out of business. You can print the plans and shop them locally.

    M101 A3 trailer fender dimensions

If this doesn't work as a link, copy and paste it in a Steel Soldiers browser window. I had the same problem with my M-101A2-3. This is what I came up with. Edit: These plans are for the CUCV rims and wheels, not the wider HMMWV set up...

Time for an update on your project. Any photos? Any complications?

    M101A3 Spring fade

It looks like I'm going to have to replace the springs on my M101A3. I had them re-arched last year, but now the right side is fading. It sits about 1 1/2" lower than the left. The springs are 6 leaf, 45 1/2" eye to eye, and 2" wide. Does anyone have any ideas on replacements - civvy truck...

Narrowing the track of a M116A3 trailer

I see what you mean about working from the outer ends of the axle instead of the middle. It would require a major spring relocation.

    M101A2 project

If you get the hinges, e-mail Kipman to see if he still has sets of 101 gates. I added a pair to the front of my trailer and it makes my life much easier. You can easily haul 10-18 ft stuff like re-bar over the trailer tub. Opening up the front end also lowers the drag when towing. My...

Shocks, M101A1 A2 A3 is there no part # available

I may have located a source for M101A3 NOS (more than 5 years old) shocks and bushings. The seller wants about $5 per bushing (4 per side) and $47 per shock. And tax. UPS shipped out of Minnesota from a government contractor. Do you think this is worth pursuing? What the shelf life of a shock?

    M101 Fiberglass Rack Repair

I scored a complete set of fiberglass racks for my M101A3 over July 4th down in El Paso, TX. The donor trailer was GL out of Fort Bliss -- already in private hands. The seller has a heavy machinery business and had several Army cranes, a few M101A2s and M105s, and a M1102 scattered through his...
