    Converting a M1008 to a 350

You are going to need grab some of the wiring componets so you can get power to your distributer. I would try and make the alternator and power steering pump that you have work on the new engine. I'm sure you will be able to fab the 6.2 brackets to work on the 350.

Who is using thier PTO for anything?

What trucks were they stock on? Where does the shaft come out at? Is the shaft rpm related to the motor rpms or the speed of the truck?

    Starting Hard

My 1008 is starting hard. It takes about two 5 second cranks to get it to fire up. It doesn't matter what the outside temperature is it still starts hard on 100 deg days. It starts up fine if I've been driving it, but if it sets for 6 hours or more it starts hard. Here's what I've done so...

    Steel Soldier Hard at Work

Thanks for the comments guys. A pallet of seed weighs 3000lbs, and I have a 110 gal fuel tank in the back also which probably weighs close to 800lbs.

    Steel Soldier Hard at Work

I've had my truck working hard this past week. In this picture I have 3000lbs of seed along with 1000lbs of fuel. Squatting a little but not too bad. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh256/arp5556/TRUCK.jpg

    Help!!! Is this serious??

Looks like a crack in the block. The only thing that should leak in that area would be water. I don't think the water will be able to mix with the oil from that crack. You should be fine, if the leak gets worse you could have someone braze it, or you could just try JB weld. I once had a hole...

    Injection Pump installation?

Well I got the truck running tonight. I advanced the timing and took the air cleaner off and laid a gas soak rag over the intake and it fired right up. The timing is still off, but I don't for a pulse adapter for my timing light, so I'm going to take it down to a shop in town and have them set it.

    Injection Pump installation?

I called the guy who rebuit the pump and he said I probably need to advance the pump more, even though the truck only has 37K on it and the last pump was lined up with the timing marks on the outside of the casing. I will mess around with it tonight and let you guys know.

    Injection Pump installation?

Pulled the water pump off today, timing marks were lined up. It doesn't look like there is enough room for the gear to get off one tooth for those who were wondering. I'm guessing the timing in the pump is off. It was a rebuilt with a warranty, so I will be calling the diesel shop tomorrow...

    Injection Pump installation?

I put all 3 bolts back in I just went through my GP system a few weeks ago. I have an electric fuel pump and I opened the screw until I had fuel running out. The truck was running, but it had been starting real hard and I was getting debri in the check valve so I new the pump was on the...

    CLUNK CLUNK! Somethings coming loose...

Could be a convertor bolt. I saw a pressure plate bolt come loose once and do the same thing, but it ended up cracking the block.
