    Steering Column P-N-D-2-1 cable support?

Put a bolt in with a spacer over it as a roller to reduce friction. Also covered everything with grease. Works perfectly now! Thank you Cucvrus!!!

    Blackout Lights wiring

Switched the wires. Now the rear four red LED’s turn on when you turn on the black out switch. However, the yellow middle one does not turn on when you press the brake pedal. It seems like the single yellow marker should come in when you turn on the switch, and the red should come on when...

    Blackout Lights wiring

Thanks. Got it wired up. Front work great. do the rear lights change from single yellow to four red lights? Hitting the brake did not light up the red lights. Should only the yellow be lit when you turn on the blackout lights? If I switch the wires, the red would light up instead...

    Steering Column P-N-D-2-1 cable support?

Does anyone know of a good way to support the cable that pulls the gear selector on the steering column / dash? The plastic piece that holds the wire broke off. I tried JB weld to hold the plastic piece that broke off, and it wasn't strong enough. Could you screw in a small bolt to let the...

    Blackout Lights wiring

Could someone tell me if it matters which wires are connected on the rear black-out lights? There is a two-wire harness on the vehicle (green and black), and there are two wires on the black-out light. One of the wires on the blackout light has metal clips with the part number. Does it...

Mystery wire near heater switch on m1009 ???

You got it!!! Thank you! It does power the bulb on the volt meter. Mystery solved. I disassembled the socket and soldered the brass lead back into the gray power wire. Do you recall which bulb the volt meter socket takes? Also, I have replaced all the 168 bulbs (heater selector, WAIT, WATER...

Mystery wire near heater switch on m1009 ???

Could someone tell me where this gray wire is supposed to be connected (pictured with blue glove holding it)? It looks like it goes to the heater switch or volt meter? The second picture shows the red power wire it was spliced in to (I think???) by the previous owner. Any ideas what it was...

M1009 no ignition after doghead relay mod

Here is a picture of the relay. I scraped off some of the liquid tape to show the wire colors. Red and purple go to the large leads and black and purple/white to small leads.

M1009 no ignition after doghead relay mod

Thanks for the battery advice. it is still odd to me that there is absolutely NO power after turning the key. It is almost like a fuse is blown. (Maybe the starter relay cut off all power?) But, when I tried to jump start it a second time and turned the key to ON, I got the glow plug wait...

M1009 no ignition after doghead relay mod

Update: the first battery in the series (closest to headlights) is dead when the load was applied with the load tester. Other battery is good. I’ll charge it and post if that was the only. problem.

M1009 no ignition after doghead relay mod

I did the Doghead starter relay mod and the glow plug momentary button on my 85 m1009. when I turned the key, it had power. The glow plug momentary button worked. Then I went to start it, and all the power shut off. Now it is completely dead. Batteries are hooked up tight with plenty of...
