I "manually made" extra clearance between the shoes and the drum, and the sound is more like metal grind/clunk. Thanks for the TM diagram, I have yet to download the TM's for the deuce.

Yeah, that one is in place, and the one way at the top above the drum that takes up slack in the cable when it's released. That's the only 2 I could fin... I can't see where a third one would be.

Pleas read my earlier posts, all that was covered. Makes the same sound, neutral, in gear, hi or lo, clutch engaged or disengaged.

All the u-joints/ yokes/ driveshafts and prop shaft are nice-n-tight.

I went out to double check also,there is one cable return spring and a release spring for the parking brake shoes, I'm not sure where a third one would even go...I'm trying to eliminate the park brake, I'm pretty sure I have. I loosened the cable and looked at it, clears both sides of the drum...

Is there a particular reason you ask what t-case I have? Is one more prone to the Issue I have been describing?

Yes, the air-shift control switch is on the dash

No, it's got a Rockwell-Standard transfer case.

Mine is intermittent also, but today was awful.
