Not sure how to identify the transfer case model. The truck has a 6.5 engine with a 3 speed transmission if that helps.

On my M998 the front output seal for the transfer case has gone bad. Does anyone know of a commercial replacement for this output seal and what that part number might be?

1985 M998 was running fine then it shut off a couple of times when I took my foot off the fuel pedal to stop or turn. Does a HMMWV only have the Manufactures Serial Number on the data plate or is it located at another location on the truck? If the number is located at another location, what is that location? Thanks for any help you can give me on this.
