Here's the readout description at amazon

Here's a typical sending unit (they offer different lengths; don't recall height of 805's tank

We had the stock 240 - 33 ohm sending unit intact, and found that this is some kind of standard. Amazon had an inexpensive digital readout that was compatible. Just checked amazon and they offer the sending units in a number of different lengths, again at bargain prices.
Here's a link to the "final" word on what I did to the set https://tinyurl.com/hnj2ssj8
It would offend the preservationists, but it was purchased as backup power, not historical preservation. With a lot of help from forum members, I think that's what we have now. Questions cheerfully...
A lot of electronics stuff these days have switching power supplies and the nameplate input will indicate some range like 100-240 volts (or anywhere in between). If hat's the case then the 138 would be OK.
We left ours at 208 and the biggest loads are trailer A/C units. The compressors are...
Here’s an update on my (brother’s) MEP-805B. Early on (this goes back to December) I received LOTS of help from members of this forum, and a number of inquiries about this “project”.
Brother Rich bought the unit as backup 3-phase power for his business, not as an historic restoration project...
With lots of help from some forum members, I replaced the control system on our MEP-805B. Some parts (like the CIM) have already found new homes. What's left, and available for the cost of USPS Flat Rate box postage, are the backplane, I/O Module, Sync CT, the Sync Load Sharing module and...
Just what I will be looking for! So 4,5,6 are the normal wye neutral; agreed. So you are saying take 5 off that old neutral and instead connect it to 3. Now your single phase neutral is just 4 & 6. So your two new hots are 1 & 3. What do you do with 2 ?

Haven't touched the MPU. As I understand what you're saying is that it's SCU that is "the governor". And the CIM merely shows info from various sensors (MPU, CT's, etc). Since the CIM is showing the frequency as it changes, I figured the MPU was OK.
I printed out the 5 pages showing...

When I open View attachment TM 9-6115-671-14 - Copy (1).pdf , it's only a single blank page.
And this one View attachment TM 9-6115-671-24P.pdf is completely different (and not much help).
Our TM is 9-6115-671-14 that came with the generator. It has the 4 foldout wiring diagrams at the back, but I don't see any reference there to the Governor Control Power Relay, either coil or contacts.
TIA Don
Just found this forum. What a treasure trove of info!
My brother picked a practically new MEP-805B and used it for over a year. Then one day the engine just shut down. He thought it was out of fuel - nope. He's the mechanical guy; I'm supposed to be the electrical guy. We finally pinned...
