    LMTV

It can be done, it just takes a little work. I had a local glass shop cut a piece of glass and glue it in place. Endless Adventures had great DIY YouTube Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    FMTV Brakes are locked up?

Oh man…this makes perfect sense! Two days ago I capped off the front glad hands, just because I never dreamed of needing them. I will definitely try this first, thank you.

    FMTV Brakes are locked up?

I did a thing tonight and I’m not sure if what I did was bad or did something mess up. After working on my M1078 A0 changing the passenger mirror, I released the parking brake and let the truck roll back against a wheel chalk about ten feet away, my driveway is relatively flat but I didn’t want...

    CTIS Seal Help!!

Make sure to pack the bearings good on the "dry" side of the hub, other wise the inside bearings and the outside bearings will be wet from the gear oil.

    CTIS Seal Help!!

I took my brake shoes off, maybe they are in the way and stiff springs are making it difficult to remove the hub. Hey, if what you did works, then run with it.

M1078A1, small extra cables come from the battery... Why?

Glad to see you figured it out, now lets talk about the long list of toys you have listed. I like the pic you posted of your LMTV, where did you find such a clean ride?

    CTIS Seal Help!!

It should slide off, from what I remember when I did mine there is nothing stopping the hub from coming off from the looks of this pic.

    Front hub ctis seal advice?

I had to replace both left and right seals on the front axle and I just put back regular gear oil in the hubs. IMO the hardest part was getting the tire off and pulling the brake drum off, had to back the brakes off a little for the drum to come off. Pay close attention to how everything comes...

    M1078 inspections needed

I agree, if you can find a private sale that would be the best bet. Something is going on with these auction sites and they are taking the fun out of bidding for something that is a want and not a need.

Wow, nice ride you have there. Welcome to the group.

    LMTV prices

Everybody wants one, I can see a trend here. I love my 1078 wish I could drive it more.

LMTV guys.. What do you do with yours?

I use mine to launch my boat on the sandy beaches where we live. Just the cost of a blown up transmission in a regular pickup truck is equal to my m1078. Plus it has made me some money pulling people out of the soft sand in there 4x4's.
