Thanks, The rust Bullet on the frame and the durabak as undercoating are working well. The OD green durabak has lost its shine which is good, but gets stained with mud. After you wash it off there is a ghost image left over. I'm happy with it but may try something different on the exterior of...
State farm hassled me over the VIN initially and then when I applied for antique plates in PA and got them, SF corporate said the truck didn't meet their definition of antique. That matter is now settled but it took time and a few threats of going elsewhere to get them to wise up. Keep at it...
I've used multiple paint over rust paints in the past and have settled on Rust Bullet as my favorite. They have a UV stable version. The black shell is very durable, It does dry to a glossy mirror like coating however. There are other places online, but I've been ordering it through summit...

So I feel stupid.
I did the 12v conversion years ago and vaguely remember reading about the need to retain the GEN lights.
fast forward to my latest rebuild where I installed aftermarket gauges in the dash and eliminated the lights.
I've been trying to figure out why my alternator won't excite...
Thankyou, I will recheck grounds and plugs. The part that has me confused is if I switch back and forth from using LED's and Filament bulbs in the front marker lights is that the filaments work fine, The LED's don't when the headlights are on. Headlights off both work fine. I would think the...
