My new (old) M1009 needs a new roof

Thanks. Would you be able or willing to cut the roof at the A and B pillars (like cucvrus mentioned doing) and shipping it to me? I am assuming that roof would still be able to ship ups or fedex (I don't know about weight though)... Let me know if you have the time/ inclination, and how much...

My new (old) M1009 needs a new roof

I haven't been on SS in quite a while. A couple years back I sold my 1986 M1009 because I was given an offer that I couldn't refuse, and I regretted selling it as soon as it was gone. So, a couple weeks ago I found a nice 85 model on craigslist and decided it needed to come home with me. When I...

    M1009 transmission not working properly

Ok, I rebuilt the transmission and finally got it put back in. After adjusting the linkages and the vacuum modulator the truck runs great in all forward gears. Shifts quick and hard, but not too hard. Downshifts with electric kickdown. I can engine brake by manually downshifting. I still have a...

    M1009 transmission not working properly

Rebuilt transmission this weekend. While I was in there I also found that the accumulator piston(plastic type) was broken, and the vacuum modulator was not working right. I took the transfer case apart and resealed it while it was out. Put everything back together today. Just waiting for my...

    Post your cucv pics here

Some more pics... Right now I'm in the middle of rebuilding the transmission and Injection pump. Should be back on the road in about 2 weeks... I hope.:tank:

    Post your cucv pics here

<--- This is mine. Gloss OD green to make it washable, soft top to make it drivable in the TX heat.

    M1009 transmission not working properly

Checked everything this out this weekend, looks like the tranny rebuild is in order. I pulled the tranny today, tore it down, and ordered parts. All clutches were burned, drums look okay. Pressure was not very good, so I will rebuild the pump while I'm in there. I also decided that since the...

    2013 la rally

Mr Tim, I'll be there as long as the national guard doesn't decide I need more practice working on these vehicles that weekend. I'm looking forward to showing you the work I've done on the M1009 you sold me last year.

    M1009 transmission not working properly

Thanks for all the suggestions. I won't have time to check most of these out until the weekend. I have checked the fluid levels and they are all okay. I have a feeling I'm heading toward a tranny rebuild, but I will check everything else first.

    M1009 transmission not working properly

I have searched through the posts, but have not found anything helpful so far. Maybe someone can help me. I have a 86 M1009. For a little while now, the truck has had trouble climbing over small (1-2 inch) curbs or obstacles without a running start. The engine revs up fine, but something seems...

New interior parts for my M1009 CUCV Blazer

I tried to order the a/c kit from Nostalgic air about a month ago, and they said that they no longer sell the kit. Apparently they cannot get some of the parts from their suppliers anymore. The only option I could find was the under dash universal a/c kit, but installing that kit would require...
