Hey guys been lookin at a M1028a3 and got to noticing the ID tag on the door. It's saying its a M1008? But it's a dually.. I'm sensing a converted M1008.. Or either the door has been changed. Also it just had a 208 transfer I would think a true M1028A3 would have the 205 t-case. Basically...

Thanks a lot guys for the help,I disconnected the slave cable from the grid box where it was running to. I just hate to stick a new alternator on there and not be for sure and it blow the new one again..

Oh ok thanks a lot. It was suppose to have been rebuilt as a 12v alternator. I've got access to some original cucv manuals so I'll go through and check it out. The slave cable is kinda like a big cable ran from the junction box through a small hole in the bad with a plug-hookup looking end on it...
